William Fountain Hencely

December 14, 1959 — September 18, 2020

William Fountain Hencely passed away Friday, September 18, 2020. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 21, 2020 at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Jim Dykes will officiate. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will not be a formal visitation.

William was born December 14, 1959 in Forsyth, Georgia.  He was a graduate of Mary Persons High School.  William retired from Lowes as a truck driver and was a veteran of the Georgia Army National Guard.

William is survived by his daughter, Anna Hencely Swafford (Michael) of Forsyth; parents, William and Joan Hencely of Forsyth; brother, Stephen Hencely (Myrna) of Forsyth; grandchildren, Chloe Swafford and Michael Swafford, Jr.; three aunts and four uncles.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
