Wanda Dixon Martiny, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, was called home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2026. Wanda's deep faith in God was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. She was known for her warm heart, unwavering trust in God's promises, and her kindness. Her joyful spirit and smile reflected the love and grace she found in Christ.
Wanda deeply loved her daughter Dorothy and valued their time together. Despite challenges, Wanda always sought to be reunited with Dorothy and spoke of her often with love and pride. Dorothy was her greatest joy and her motivation for living.
Wanda was blessed with exceptional gifts in both art and music, which she shared generously with her family and friends. Her paintings and sketches captured the beauty she saw in the world, and her creative spirit brought joy to those around her. Wanda's love of music was evident in her ability to lift spirits through song, whether at church or at home. She nurtured these talents as expressions of her faith and love, leaving inspiration for all who witnessed her artistry.
Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Wanda cherished her family and often shared stories of her childhood, including how her faith shaped her journey. She enjoyed sharing scripture and encouraging others to seek God's guidance. Wanda's legacy lives on through her daughter, Dorothy Rosalee Martiny, and all who had the privilege to know her. Though we mourn her loss, we rejoice in the confidence that she is now at peace in God's presence. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved, and her faith continues to inspire us all.
