Tommy Leon Thomason Sr., 74, of McDonough, passed away Thursday May 1, 2025. A memorial service and celebration will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Everlasting Ranch 700 Fincherville Road, Jackson Georgia 30233. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations to The American Cancer Society www.cancer.org
Tommy was born November 2, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Lloyd Bonner Thomason and Jesse Lenore Borne Thomason. Tommy, for many years was in the auto body repair industry, he was a very accomplished painter and was well respected for his work ethic and beautiful finishes he put on cars. Tommy loved to travel to visit Wind Creek Casino in Alabama, singing karaoke, and was known for his rendition of “Man of Constant Sorrow”, he enjoyed quiet times with his family, and a lifelong love of going to the lake fishing.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet Clark Thomason; children Tommy Thomason Jr (Lisa) of Forsyth, Carey Thomason (Sandy) of McDonough, Andrew Thomason (Tosha) of McDonough, Justin Thomason (Kristi) of McDonough; eleven grandchildren; Sydney, Alexis, Mariah, Lauren, McKay, Hunter, Annslynn, Brinklee, Sophie, Emily, and Easton. Four great grandchildren; Cole, JR, Mila, Vivian. And many friends.
