Thomas Edward Allen

Thomas Edward (Ed) Allen passed away Sunday, September 12^th, 2021. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 16th, 2021 at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Masks are required. Due to the pandemic there will not be a visitation. Burial will be private. Rev. Marilyn Tucker-Merek will officiate.

Ed was a retired Mechanic and worked part time at Beech Tree Supply in Bolingbroke. Ed loved dirt track racing, working on cars and making people laugh. He was well known in Bolingbroke for drinking coffee with the morning crew at the store.

Ed was the son of the late Willie Allen and Anna Potter Allen. He is predeceased by his wife Marsha Allen, brother William (Billy) Allen, and sister Irene Kent. Survivors  include brother Willie Allen (Sandra)of Gordon, and two daughters; Brandy Allen (Brianne) of Milton, Fl. and Sandy Slaton (Tony) of Macon; two grandchildren, Tammy Slaton and Aiden Allen; and many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to your local animal shelter.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
