Terry Wayne Griffin Sr.

Terry Wayne Griffin Sr., "TW" a dedicated employee of Georgia Power for 42 years, passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 77. He was born on May 18, 1946, in Macon, Georgia to the late C.B. Griffin and Eliose Brooks. A graveside service will be held on June 28th at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens in Forsyth at 2:00 PM for family and close friends to honor Terry’s memory.

After graduating from high school, Terry proudly served his country in the US Navy. He worked tirelessly after his military service at Georgia Power and was respected among his peers for his strong work ethic.

In his free time, Terry enjoyed antiquing and visiting flea markets. He approached life with a sense of curiosity and always appreciated the stories hidden behind old treasures.

Terry is deeply missed by his surviving family and friends, including his loving wife Shawona Marshall-Griffin and daughters Terri Angela Griffin;  Amy Hudson, son-in-law Tim Hudson, and grandchildren Hunter Hudson, Sleighton Thomas, Kylie Hudson, and Autym Hudson; step-daughter Gracyn Virgil; as well as his adored pet Lucky.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his son Terry Wayne Griffin Jr, , beloved sister Joyce Hickman and first wife Paulette Hicks Griffin.



Terry Wayne Griffin Sr. will always be remembered as a hardworking man who lived life with a sense of adventure. His kindness towards others was palpable to anyone who knew him well. The world has truly lost a kind soul in Terry Wayne Griffin Sr.
