Steven Jeffrey Rodeheaver, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the age of 65. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Monroe Memorial Gardens. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Steve was born in Macon, Georgia, on March 27, 1960, to the late Charles Stewart Rodeheaver and Mary Dorothy Roper Rodeheaver. After graduating from high school, Steve traveled to Louisiana, where he worked on oil rigs and served as a cook on the boats. He later returned to Georgia and became a familiar face in Forsyth, running a local fruit stand and making friends wherever he went.
Steve loved the outdoors—especially fishing, and he found joy in gardening, whether it was growing flowers or fresh vegetables. He had a true passion for all types of music and knew the words to most every song! He sang in a band after high school, and was a lifelong fan of the Allman Brothers.
He had a special love for the holidays and never missed a chance to decorate and celebrate. One of his Steve’s favorite traditions was making a piñata for the kids and adults every year at Christmas time - something family and friends came to look forward to. He also had a strong faith, loved Jesus Christ, and often listened to gospel music and church services on the radio.
Steve loved his family dearly and never missed a chance to say “thank ya” and “love ya”. Steve also loved Forsyth and the people of Forsyth. One of his biggest joys was going to town everyday and making his rounds to his favorite places.
He is survived by his brother, Stewart Rodeheaver (Lou) and sisters, Connie Ham (Chris) and Christy Livingston. He has 5 nieces and nephews: Kerri Swearingen (Mike), Scot Rodeheaver (Kelsey), Chrissy Ham, Kurt Ham (Byerly) and Lauren Becker (Nick). He also has 6 great nieces/nephews and one on the way: Hannah Pyron (Dakota), Avery Donovan, Emma Allen, Jaxon Donovan, Maggie Ham and Evie Ham.
