Sherri Edwina Walker, 62, of Forsyth, Georgia passed away on the afternoon of October 22, 2025. Born in Macon, Georgia, she was the beloved daughter of William “Dub” and Barbara Walker.
Sherri spent her career working for a staffing agency, where she loved the process of helping people find both temporary and permanent work. When she retired, she managed rental properties in High Falls, Georgia. In the last year of her life, she found her true calling through her volunteer work at Rob’s Place, a day program for adults with disabilities in Forsyth. Her passion and joy for the students enrolled there was evident in her everyday life; they report that she loved and supported them, that she was the life of the party, and that she was their supportive cheerleader.
She was a devoted daughter, sibling, and mother. She enjoyed baking, the occasional book, and serving others in any way she could. She loved anything where she could be loud and silly, she thrived when she was surrounded by others, and she never turned down the opportunity to visit a casino. Sherri was an avid Christian and sought Christ daily. Her relentless faith gives full assurance that she is at home with the Lord.
She is survived by her daughter, Chelsie Jenkins (Andy Jenkins), grandchildren Cooper Jenkins and Isabel Jenkins.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 26th at 3pm at Monroe Memorial Gardens, Ensign Road Forsyth, Georgia. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Rob's Place of Forsyth, 109 Martin Luther King, Jr Dr. Forsyth, Ga. 31029, https://robsplaceforsyth.org/.
