Samuel Darius Lindsey

Samuel “Sambo” Lindsey, 66, of Forsyth, passed away, Sunday, December 7, 2025. Sambo was born February 13, 1959, to the late Mack and Frances Lindsey. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, December 14, 2025, at New Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 190 Rocky Creek Road, Mansfield, Georgia, 30055, with Pastor Randall Reese officiating.

Sambo graduated from Loganville High School in 1977. Sambo was known by his friends and family as an honest and hard worker, he established that reputation in his many years in the construction industry, when not working he enjoyed spending time with friends watching Georgia Bulldogs football games and the Atlanta Braves, and eating and drinking coffee at the Waffle House. He had a lifelong passion for Ford Trucks.

Sambo is survived by his brother, Franklin Lindsey (Danielle), of Monroe, Georgia; sister Leslie Lilly (Jimmy), of Monticello, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Benjamin Bonner (Kayla) of Jackson, Levi Bonner of Jackson, Lindsey Brooks (Josh) of Loganville, Justin Lilly (Anabel) of Monticello, and Jordyn Maatje of Monroe, GA; brother in law, Ben Bonner (Jean); aunt Patsy Wilson; two adopted nieces, Terri Waddell (Clint), and Tabitha Hall; five great nephews; one great niece; several cousins; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Sambo was preceded in death by his sisters, Angela “Angie” Brooks and Faith “Faye” Bonner.
