Ruby Gossett Champion

Ruby Estelle Gossett Champion passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service for family will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery with no formal visitation.  Stake President Dennis Appleby will officiate.

Mrs. Champion, the daughter of the late Joseph Jefferson Gossett and Pauline Estelle Ruark Gossett was born September 17, 1937 in Monroe County Georgia.  Her husband, Thomas Champion preceded her in death.  She was a retired secretary and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include her children, Timothy Coogler (Vickie) of Phoenix, Arizona, Teresa Griffeth of Forsyth, Joe Coogler (Debra) of North Carolina, Jim Coogler of Forsyth and Brian Champion of Ohio: sister, LaFran Jackson of Forsyth; brother, Larry William Gossett of Texas; fourteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. 

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
