Roger Perry Danison, loving father of two, passed away Wednesday, April 07, 2021 at the age of 63.
Roger was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida on October 07, 1957 to the late Arthur Loren Danison and Agnes Helen Lambert. He graduated from Jupiter High School in 1976 and shortly after started a career as an electrical lineman. Through his work he was able to travel the United States, living in Alaska, Mississippi, and Connecticut before settling with his family in Forsyth, Georgia.
Roger loved his children, becoming a granddad (Pappy), his dogs (big and small alike), gardening and the outdoors. He also had a deep love for animals of all kinds, rescuing many injured creatures over the years. He was a passionate hunter and outdoorsman, believing strongly in wildlife conservation in hopes that the natural spaces he loved so much would be preserved for future generations to come. Above all, he was happiest when gathering with his family for any occasion, where he enjoyed cooking and grilling for the ones he loved.
He is survived by his daughter Chelsea Marie Danison of Atlanta; son Roger Cy Danison and wife Laura Katherine of Lakeland, Georgia; one grandchild Chandler Perry Danison; and his loving stepmom Joanne Danison of West Palm Beach, Florida. He is also survived by his brother Arthur Loren Danison Jr. and wife TJ of West Palm Beach, Florida; sister Cathy Brown of Nantahala, North Carolina; sister Deborah Fusco of Jupiter, Florida; sister Mona Hampton of Branford, Florida; and sister Shannon Perez of West Palm Beach, Florida.
He was a loving uncle to thirteen nieces and nephews, and great uncle to eighteen great-nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate his life will be held in West Palm Beach, Florida on April 17, 2021.
