Robyn Johnson

Marvyn Robyn Johnson, age 63, of Forsyth, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11: a.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Forsyth City Cemetery. Rev. Cody Fountain will officiate.

Robyn, the daughter of the late Marvin Cullen Johnson and Dorothy Lenora Jackson Johnson was born September 18, 1957.  Her sister, Jeanne Johnson Farris preceded her in death.

Robyn was a dedicated learner earning the following degrees throughout her career: B.A. from Tift College, MEd from Mercer University, MLIS from Valdosta State University, and an EdS from the University of Georgia. She served as a teacher in Upson, Baldwin, and Bibb counties before retiring as a media specialist for Bibb County Schools.

Aside from her professional career, Robyn liked walking, reading, and singing. She had a deep love for animals, especially cats. She rescued many of them over the years and provided a loving home for each.

Robyn is survived by her sisters, Betty Robicheaux of Minnesota and Peggy Thrash (Marvin) of Thomaston.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Pine Pointe Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided to Robyn.
