Richard Dean Clements, 55, of Forsyth, passed away Sunday May 25, 2025. Funeral services will be held Sunday June 1, 2025, at New Beginnings Church 1883 Juliette Road Forsyth, Georgia, with The Reverend Mark Goolsby officiating. Dean was born June 1, 1969, in Fulton County Georgia to the late Richard Edward Clements and the late Betty Dean Ferguson. Dean worked for many years as a desk clerk for Days Inn. He adored time spent, porch sitting and story telling with friends, helping attend his mother’s store in Juliette for over 30 years. Dean graduated from Mid America Baptist Seminary and spent his days serving the Lord. He was as Associate Pastor of Second Baptist Church of Forsyth. He loved history, antiques, and oak furniture. Friends described him as “old soul” gracious, kind and Godly man. He had a special Uncle love and bond with his beloved nephew and friend Jon; they were an inseparable team with a lifetime of memories and laughter to cherish.
Dean is survived by his sister Amanda Clements Smallwood; brother-in-law Thomas Smallwood, brother, Herbert C. Johnson III, sister Denise J. Frazier; nephews, Jon Smallwood, Ray Frazier, beloved family of friends, Dana J. Potter, Arthur Bonilla, Thomas Woodard, Mark Steinkamp, Mike Underwood, Dr. Linda Grynkewich, cousins Kathy Dangar (Hoyt), Daryl Manders, Justin Manders and Christina Clements; and a host of “Juliette family” friends.
