Patsy Cochran Evans

Patsy Carol Cochran Evans, 82, of Juliette passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025, after an extended illness. Patsy was born, May 27, 1943, to the late Helen Frazier Cochran and the late Willis Alexander Cochran. Funeral services will be private at Monroe Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request donations in Patsy’s memory to Pine Pointe Hospice 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia, 31210.

Patsy retired from the Monroe County Board of Education, where she served as a bus monitor for students with special needs. Patsy had a gift for making her kids feel loved. Her laugh and smile were contagious and brought joy to everyone in her presence.

Patsy is survived by her son, William Barry Evans of Waynesboro, Georgia; her daughter and caregiver, Rhonda Evans Grizzard (Stephen) of Forsyth, Georgia; grandchildren, Mandi Grizzard Smith, Jakob William Evans, and Sammi Jo Evans Johnson; great grandchildren, Zack Grizzard, Avery Smith, River Evans and Reagan Evans; siblings Retha Roper (Tony) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Randy Cochran (Wanda) of Senatobia, Mississippi, and Scotty Cochran (Renee), of Macon, Georgia along with many friends.

In addition to her parents Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, William Jerry Evans; her brothers, Billy Curtis Cochran, Willis Ray Cochran and Larry Wayne Cochran; and her sister Denese Latrell Cochran.

The family would like to extend special thanks for the wonderful care to the staff at Pine Pointe Hospice, Piedmont Rehab, Amedysis Home Health, and Dr. Jeremy Goodwin, for their love and care during Patsy’s illness.
