Mary Lavern Mosher, lovingly known as MeMe to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, at the age of 82, in Macon, Georgia. Born on April 14, 1943, in the quaint town of Milan, Georgia, Mary's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and joy that touched everyone she knew. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Monday, August 11, 2025, at the chapel of Monroe County Memorial Chapel with Reverend Mark Goolsby officiating. Burial will be held at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens, Highway 41 North, Forsyth, Georgia. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mary's journey through life was marked with the love and laughter of a large and vibrant family. She was a beloved mother to her son, James Dennis "Red" Stone, and a cherished mother-in-law to Lynn Stone and Suzanne Adams. Mary's legacy continued to grow with each new generation, leaving behind eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness, and loving sister to Wayne McCranie.
She now joins her late husband, Vernon Mosher; sons, James William "Jimbo" Stone Jr., Edward David Adams Jr. and Charles Benjamin Adams; her brothers, Junior McCranie and Gene McCranie; her sister, Martha Kimsey; as well as her parents, in eternal rest. Their memories will forever be a testament to the love and resilience that defined Mary's life.
Mary's interests were many, but above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Her home was a hub of warmth and hospitality, where laughter echoed, and memories were made. Mary's presence was a comfort, her advice sought after, and her love unconditional. She was a beacon of light to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Mary Lavern Mosher's life was one of grace, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones. Her spirit, a blend of strength and gentleness, will continue to inspire those who knew her. As we bid farewell to Mary, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, a life exemplary of love's enduring power. Her memory will be cherished, and her legacy will live on through the generations she so dearly loved.
