Mary Joyce Gore

Mary Joyce Gore went home to be with Jesus Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 14, 2019, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Watson Jones will officiate. The family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Gore, the daughter of the late Ras Kitchens and Tavie Copeland Kitchens was born May 1, 1935, in Monroe, Georgia. Her husband, Ralph Charlie Gore, her grandchildren, Lynn Ballenger and P J Treadwell; her sons-in-law, Ricky Gardner and W A Ballenger; and her great grandchild, Aiden Bearden preceded her in death.  She was retired from William Carter Company and was a member of Northside Congregational Holiness Church. Survivors include her children, Jeanelle Garner of Forsyth, Ralph (Wanda) Gore, Jr. of Forsyth, Debora Ballenger of Jackson, Sam (LaVaughn) Gore of Forsyth and Brenda (Chuck) Starnes of Musella; sister, Dorothy Brinkley of Forsyth; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
