Mari Floyd, 60, of Jeffersonville, passed away August 23, 2025. Mari was born December 1, 1964, in Ithaca, New York, to the late Bill Sager and Marvis Jean Garvin. A celebration of life will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel 86 West Main St, Forsyth, Georgia. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
At a young age Mari moved to Altoona Florida where she graduated from Umatilla High School. Mari was a long-time hairdresser in the middle Georgia area, where she made many friends and touched many lives. She was known for her bubbly personality, warm smile and infectious laugh.
Mari is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Joe Floyd of Jeffersonville, Georgia; son, William Joyner, of Ivey, Georgia; Daughter, Liz Joyner of Minneapolis, Minnesota; granddaughter, Zoey Joyner; sister, Terry Smith, of Altoona, Florida; brother Billy Smith, of Altoona, Florida; Sister, Andrea Dragoo; Father in law, Donald Floyd; Mother in law, Brenda Floyd; brothers in law, Greg Dragoo, of Missouri and Jerry Floyd; Sister in law, Rena Floyd; Nephews, Stephen Nelson of Warner Robins and Patrick Floyd; Nieces, Erica Hacket of Warner Robins, Samantha Mullenski of North Carolina, Lilli Grace Smith of Altoona Florida and Kathy Guillory; and many friends.
