Luella Frances Presley, 86, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026. The family will greet friends at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow the visitation at 3:30 p.m. at Monroe Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Ricky Niblett officiating.

Luella was born on January 7, 1940, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Edward Francis Small and Delena Alice Holified Small. She later moved with her family to Levy, Arkansas, before moving to California. She graduated from Willow Glen High School in San Jose, California, in 1957.

Luella met her husband in February 1957. They became engaged in April and were married in June of that same year. They shared nearly 63 years of marriage and spent their early years together in California while her husband served in the military. After his military service, they moved to Georgia and eventually settled in Monroe County in 1976.

Luella began working at Hubbard Elementary School in 1976, where she devoted many years of service before retiring in 2014. She took great pride in her work and in the many lives she touched throughout her career.

Above all, Luella loved being a mother and grandmother. She cherished her family and the time they shared together. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was an active member of Garden Hill Baptist Church, where she had been a member since 2001 and served as a deaconess.

Luella will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends, church family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, devotion to her family, and faithful service will be deeply missed.

Luella will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Richard Keith Presley (Sharon), Clayton Edward Presley (Marie), Susan P. Niblett (Ricky), and John Boland “Bo” Presley (Julie); eight grandchildren: Kasey P. Chambers, Brittany Presley, Erin P. Strickland, Maggie P. Cox, Jason Niblett, Richa Tenuto, Joshua Presley and Abigail P. Conine; nine great grandchildren: Brayden Cole, Cooper Cole, Makayla Puckett, Paislie Cox & Mayson Cox, Dharok Conine, Johnathan Niblett, Riley Presley, and Lawson Tenuto; and one great great grandchild, Riggs Cole.
