Lucia "Lucy" Clay Carswell

Ms. Lucia “Lucy” Clay Carswell, of Macon, GA, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the age of 62.

Lucia was born to parents Peyton and Elizabeth Carswell on July 29, 1959 in Macon, GA. She was a graduate of Mount de Sales Academy in Macon, Class of 1977. She lived and worked in Macon most of her life, and also lived in Jacksonville, FL for about 15 years.

Lucia is survived by her brother, William “Bill” Peyton Carswell, Jr (Beth) of Macon; daughter, Allison McKinney (James) of Eatonton; grandchildren Jenna McKinney and Brendan McKinney of Eatonton. She was preceded in death by her father, William Peyton Carswell and mother, Elizabeth Aultman Carswell.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of local arrangements.
