Lena Mae George

Lena Mae George, née Gillespie, 95, passed away on September 17, 2022.

She joins her husband, Raymond W. George, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. They were married 63 years.

Born in Fallston, PA, Lee graduated from Geneva College with a degree in Education. She taught second grade in the Chippewa School District for 26 years.

Following retirement, Lee and Ray moved to Macon, GA. Lee enjoyed golfing, bridge and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her sons Randy (Carol) and Bob (Sherrie), four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Her wishes were for a private burial.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
