Laura Dean Asip

Laura Dean Richardson Asip, 77, of Jackson, passed away, Thursday, May 28, 2026. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Deanie was born January 7, 1949, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Jeff Eugene Richardson and the late Dorothy Morris Richardson. She grew up in Atlanta, graduated from Fulton County High School, then earned her degree from Dekalb College. Deanie's desire to help and to serve people lead her into a rewarding career as a nurse.

She enjoyed spending time with family and riding horses. She competed in barrel racing and was a 1999 National Barrel Horse Association Dixie National Champion.

 Deanie is survived by her sons, Brandon Asip (Jenny), and Brent Asip; her daughter Bridget Merryman (Chris); grandchildren Alexis Asip, Alivia Asip, Brennan Fitzpatrick, Collin Fitzpatrick, and Delaney Fitzpatrick.
