Larry Franklin Johnson

Larry Franklin Johnson passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021, at his residence.

Larry, the son of the late Charlie Franklin Johnson and Annie Ruth Mosley Johnson was born March 29, 1943 in Monroe County, Georgia. He was a 1961 graduate of Mary Persons High School, attended Nashville Auto Diesel, and he later retired from AT&T. He was a father, granddaddy, and friend to many residents in Monroe County. He was always willing to help those in need at the drop of a hat. He will be deeply missed.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Wanda Johnson of Monroe County; granddaughter, Rebecca Hopper Cain (Chris) of Forsyth; sister, Juanita Rogillio (Byron) of Houston, Texas; brothers, James Cecil Johnson (Gale) of Evans, GA and Steven Wayne Johnson (Sandy) of Monroe County.

A memorial service will be held at the Monroe County Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM. The family will visit with friends immediately after the service.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in support of Mary Persons High School FFA Program, in memory of Larry Johnson, sent to Mary Persons High School, 300 Montpelier Avenue, Forsyth, GA, 31029.
