Katie Michelle Sykes

Katie Michelle Sykes, 44, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away on October 4, 2025. Katie was born December 18, 1980, in Forsyth Georgia.

Katie loved the outdoors, fishing, boating, and attending Jeepfest in the North Georgia Mountains, an annual event in Jasper, Georgia, where Jeep enthusiasts gather for off-road adventures, obstacle courses, trail rides, mud pits, and concerts. She was an avid University of Alabama fan. A warm smile and “Roll Tide” were normal greetings especially Saturdays during the fall.

She is survived by her husband, Josh Sykes of Forsyth; daughter, Heidi Sykes of Forsyth; mother, Donna Robins and her husband Tom Sink of Forsyth; father, Scott Robins and his wife Jackie of Texas; brothers, John Robins and his wife Miranda of Blackshear, Georgia, Jacob Robins and his wife Elizabeth of Forsyth, and David Allen Robins and his wife Leah of Forsyth; sister, Elizabeth Williams and her husband Michael of Warner Robins; half-brothers, Cohen Robins and Eli Robins, both of Texas; stepbrother, Tim Sink and his wife Tiffany; stepsister, Michelle Gallagher and her husband Jason of Pennsylvania; parents-in-law, Vic and Vicky Sykes of Forsyth; brother-in-law, Jason Sykes and his wife Ashley of Forsyth; sister-in-law, Kristi Varnadoe and her husband Alex of Forsyth; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Monroe County Memorial Chapel in Forsyth.
