Kathy Sellers

Kathy Butler Sellers, 65, passed away on August 29, 2025, in Macon, Georgia. Born on June 13, 1960, in Forsyth, Georgia, Kathy brought warmth and joy to those around her throughout her life.

 A graduate of Monroe Academy, Kathy was known for her ever-present smile and infectious laughter. Her friendly nature and welcoming spirit made her a beloved presence in every room she entered. She had a gift for making others feel seen and valued traits that earned her the affection of many and the reputation of being a true friend to all.

 Among the many roles Kathy embraced in life, none brought her more pride than being a mother. She often said that her greatest accomplishment was her daughter. Kathy also shared a special closeness with her sister, Jill, and their time together brought her immense comfort and many laughs throughout the years. 

Kathy is survived by her mother and stepfather, Patricia and Ronald Broman of Forsyth, GA; her daughter, Katie Herndon of Forsyth, GA; her brother, Donald Butler (Hope) of Goshen, OH; her sister, Jill Butler (Chuck Boling) of Forsyth, GA; grandson, Declan Herndon of Forsyth, GA; and two nephews, Ryan Wolfe (Rachel) of Marietta, GA, and Ethan Wolfe (Shannon) of Peachtree Corners, GA. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Luca. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Butler, and her nephew, John Butler. 

Kathy’s kindness left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her. May her memory bring comfort to all who carry it forward.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Monroe County Memorial Chapel, 86 W. Main St., Forsyth, GA 31029

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Paran Baptist Church 5691 Hwy 42 N., Forsyth, GA 31029.

Interment will be private.
