Kennesaw

Julia Anne Williams (“Anne”), age 83, of Forsyth, Georgia, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 2, 2026.

Born on February 1, 1943, in Tifton, Georgia, Anne was the daughter of Carl Etheridge Hancock and Ruby Alice Hancock. She spent her life devoted to her family, her faith, and caring for those she loved.

Anne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles David Williams, Sr., who passed away on April 16, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Hancock, and her sister, Linda Hancock.

She is survived by her son, Kacee Andrew Lechtenberg; her daughter, Tracy Simmons-Bright; Tracy’s daughters, Miu (Kristina) Moreland and Meganne O’Neal, who held a special place in Anne’s heart as both daughters and granddaughters; Tracy’s sons, Brandon Fountain and Dylan Fountain; her nieces, Amanda Hancock and  Jade Butanda, who held a special place in her heart; her brother, Jerry Hancock; along with their spouses, children, grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A devoted Christian, Anne’s faith guided her throughout her life. She was known for her strong personality and straightforward nature. While she could sometimes come across as tough, those who knew her best understood that everything she did came from a place of love and a desire to see others succeed. She always wanted the best for the people she cared about.

Anne’s love was often shown through acts of generosity, especially around the dinner table. Family and friends knew better than trying to pay for a meal when Anne was present—she firmly believed in taking care of those around her and rarely gave anyone the opportunity to pick up the check.

Her family will remember her for her strength, her unwavering devotion, and the many ways she showed love throughout her life. The lessons she taught, the memories she created, and the love she shared will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew her.

The family welcomes flowers to be sent to Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Those wishing to provide food for the family may send it to 185 Jenkins Road, Forsyth, Georgia 31029.

Though she is no longer with us, Anne’s legacy of faith, love, generosity, and dedication to family will never be forgotten.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel, 86 West Main Street, Forsyth, Georgia, has charge of the arrangements.
