Joseph Richard Blalock

Joseph Richard Blalock, 83, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away, Thursday, April 16, 2026. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Joe was born March 24, 1943, in Savannah, Georgia to the late Thomas Blalock and the late Ida Geiger. He proudly served in the US Army as a sergeant during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he became a mechanic for several Ford dealerships and then began working for the Bluebird Bus Company.

Joe leaves behind to mourn his loss his son, Wesley Blalock (Terri), of Baldwyn, Mississippi; daughter, Tammy Hortman (Rodney), of Reynolds, Georgia; son, Sam Blalock (Sherry) of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Jonathon Blalock, Jessica Blalock, Raymond Entrekin (Amanda), Anthony Coleman (Andrea), Brandy Williams (Rodney),Clay Hortman, (Bridget), Rachel Berrier (Joel), Joey Blalock, ChloéCholé Mocca (Jarrett), Alex McIntosh, and Megan McCrary (Chad); several great grandchildren; and many friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Blalock and Ida Fincher, and his son, JoJo Blalock.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel, 86 West Main Street, Forsyth, Georgia, has charge of the arrangements.
