Jon Bruce Baxter

Jon Bruce Baxter (63), born January 15, 1959 gained his wings unexpectedly on July 7, 2022. He was a graduate of Southwest High School and a carpenter by trade.

He was a member of Sardis Congregational Methodist Church where he did a host of charitable work. He loved carpentry, fishing, and his daughter and 7 grandchildren.

Bruce is survived by his daughter, Shannan Zinnert (Chris) of Kahoka, MO, his grandchildren; Tristin, Lane, Carson, Isabel, Eily, Madilyn, and Gunner; three brothers Joe Baxter, Victor Baxter and Mark Rousseau, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bruce is preceded in death by his mother Anne Connor Rousseau; sisters Jeanne Knight and Elaine Baxter; brother Charles Willis.

Cremation is being handled by Monroe County Memorial Chapel.

Celebration of Life will be held at Sardis Congregational Methodist Church, 119 Sardis Church Rd, Gray, GA 31032 on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 5:00PM. Food and fellowship following the service.
