Terry Smith

John Terry Smith passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020.  Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Monroe Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Darrell Corbin will officiate.   Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will not be a formal visitation. 

Terry, the son of the late James Marion Smith and Doris Mable Bishop Smith was born July 1, 1947, in Molena, Georgia.  He retired from Hammer Blow after forty-nine years of service and also was retired from Perdue Feed Mill and was a veteran of the Georgia Army National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Smith; children, Terry Jones, Pam Golden, Stacey Smith of Forsyth and Sandra Abernathy of Ball Ground; step-children, Tim Hay of Conyers and Rhonda Redding (Tony) of North Carolina; brothers, James Smith (Mary) and Emmett Smith of Forsyth; sisters, Margie Smith of Griffin and Florine Taylor of Thomaston, fourteen grandchildren.

The family requests no flowers honoring the wishes of Terry.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
