Joel Brooks Wasden

Joel Brooks “Joe” Wasden passed away Monday, June 3, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2019, at First Baptist Church of High Falls with burial in the church cemetery. Dr. Glenn Canup will officiate. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. one hour prior to the service at the Church.

Joe was born August 21, 1953, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Rev. Fred Paul Wasden and Edna Christian Wasden.  His wife, Mary Joyce Edwards Wasden preceded him in death.  He was a retired master carpenter, log cabin builder and house builder.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He will be truly missed by all that knew him. Joe was a member of First Baptist Church of High Falls.

Survivors include his son, Lee Brooks Wasden of Forsyth; sisters, Gail Watts (Calvin) of Macon, Meschal Suddeth (David) of Macon and Sharon Prather of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Delana Holt and Rheanna Holt.
