Jim Bush, Sr.

James Edward “Jim” Bush, Sr. passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m.  in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Hwy, Milledgeville, GA 31061. Rev. Mike McMullan will officiate.  The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.

Jim, the son of the late George Bush, Sr. and Sara Rutherford Bush was born September 28, 1933, in Columbus, Georgia.  He was retired from the United States Air Force.  Jim was a member and former commander of VFW Post 658, a member of Air Force Sergeants Association and a member of The Retired Enlisted Association.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Reaves Bush of Forsyth; children, Karen Ryals (Joey) of Juliette, Pam Stewart (Eddie) of Juliette and James Bush, Jr. (Niki) of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; step-son, Randy Taylor (Tina) of Forsyth; six grandchildren, Cory Bush (Cassi), Ben Bush, Cody Bush of Orlando, Florida, Harlee Stewart of Juliette, Chris Taylor and Abigail Taylor of Forsyth; step-grandchild, Bryan Stewart (Sheila) of Gray; and four great grandchildren.
