Louise Samples

Louise Samples, 93, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00pm, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the Chapel of Monroe County Memorial Chapel, with Preacher Bob Hooks and Reverend James Swanger officiating. Family will greet friends for visitation from 2:00pm to 4:00pm prior to the service. A burial will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 27, 2026, at College Park Cemetery, in College Park, Georgia.

Louise was born on June 27, 1932, in Lagrange, Georgia, to the late George Roy Green and the late Irene Koon Green. She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, around Cabbage Town. Louise married Agbert Samples in 1949 and moved several times until settling in Forsyth in 1993. Louise was loved by the students at Jackson High School where she was a lunchroom cook. She was an excellent cook and seamstress, making clothing for her children. Everyone who knew her said she was a loving person and sweet lady. She loved to shop, especially at Walmart and Kohls. Louise was a member of Cabiness Baptist Church, where she shared her love for God and her community. Louise is predeceased by her husband, Agbert Samples; and her grandsons, Chris Brown and Randy Samples.

Louise is survived by her children, Bonnie Lane (Jack Slater) of Forsyth, Georgia, Patricia Brown (Michael) of Jenkinsburg, Georgia, Larry Samples (Peggy) of Winterville, Georgia, and Tony Samples (Linda) of Franklin, Georgia; her grandchildren, Lil’ Larry Samples of Winterville, Georgia, James Samples of Winterville, Georgia, Wendy Brown (Johnny) of Newnan, Georgia, Brian Brown (Stephanie) of Monticello, Georgia, Shelley Burford (Matthew) of Jenkinsburg, Georgia, Misty Spurling (Anthony) of Forsyth, Georgia, Tonya Fairbanks (Anthony) of Franklin, Georgia, and TJ Samples (Christina) of Newnan, Georgia; her great grandchildren, Austin Samples, Katie Sailor (Chris), Hunter Samples, Michael Samples, Ashton Samples, Jaden Samples, Ansleigh Weathers, Chelsea Brown, Anthony Brown, McKenna Brown, Chase Burford, Drew Burford (Lexie), Brent Burford (Autumn), Laney Turner, Reese Titshaw, Hannah Webb (River), Eli Fairbanks, Hana Bassett, Joseph Samples, and Joshua Samples ; her great-great grandchildren, Trevor Sailor, Archie Webb, Taylor Samples, Rowan Grace Hall, and Christopher Michael Brown II; and her many friends.
