James Lee Young

James Lee Young, 62, of Macon passed away Friday November 15, 2024. James was born February 15, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late William Edgar Young Sr and the late Bonnie Jean Sockwell. A public memorial service will be held later. 

After graduating high school from Tattnall Square Academy, James proudly served his country in the Air force then began his career with Kroger where he made many friends with his coworkers and customers.

 James is survived by his son, William James Austin Young of Helen; brothers, Richard Young (Cindy) of Forsyth, William “Eddie” Young Jr. (Mishael) of Macon; sister, Donna Purvis of Forsyth; nephews, Tyler Walker of Macon, Michael Purvis (Kristen) of Athens, Mitchell Purvis of Macon; nieces, Lindsey Smith (Glenn) of Macon, Meghan Glass (Marshall) of Virginia Beach Virginia, Whitney Shiver of Macon, and many friends. 

Monroe County Memorial Chapel, 86 West Main Street, Forsyth, Georgia, has charge of the arrangements.
