James Hubert Wright, Jr.

James H. (Buddy) Wright, Jr., passed away Monday, June 3, 2019. Services and burial will be private.

Buddy was born November 23, 1945, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late James Hubert Wright, Sr. and Ebalena McClung Wright. His wife, Brenda Ann Brown Wright preceded him in death. He was a retired salesman and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam. Buddy was inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame and he also toured with the USO Entertainment Band.

Survivors include his children, Amanda Burger (Travis) and Jimmy Wright of Forsyth; sister, Susan Faubeus (Phil) of Missouri; and six grandchildren.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
