James Bennett "Benny" Bostick, 82, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Maynard Baptist Church, 1195 Juliette Road, Forsyth, Georgia, with Reverend Mark Goolsby officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Juliette United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Benny was born in Juliette, Georgia on April 26, 1943, to the late Walker Douglas Bostick and Mildred Pippin Bostick. He attended Mary Persons High School, where he was a member of the football team. Benny was a member of the Georgia Cattlemen’s Association and was well known in the community for his dedication to local business, having owned and operated the Red and White Grocery Stores in Forsyth and Monticello.
Benny will be fondly remembered for his strong work ethic, love for his community, and the lasting friendships he built throughout his life.
In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Douglas Bostick. He is survived by his loving wife, Gael Bostick of Forsyth; sons, Shawn Bostick (Sheila) of Homewood, Alabama and Ryan Bostick of Forsyth; daughter, Heather Bostick (Chris Waugh) of Lagrange, Georgia; grandchildren: Emma Bostick, Walker Bostick, and Joni Bostick; nieces and nephews: Rodney Bostick (Louise) of Juliette, Angie Ellis (Mike) of Juliette, Ivey Wilson (Sam) of Sebring, Florida,;= Phillip Beals, brother in law and Bryant Beals of Palm Coast, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Monroe County Care Cottage, 36 Langston Ave, Forsyth, GA 31029.
