Ida Kay Hobby Cone
October 3, 1942-July 13, 2025
Ida Kay Cone, 82, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sunday, July 13, 2025. She was born in Macon, GA, to the late James Glen Hobby Sr. and Ollie Lee Taylor Hobby. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, friend and grandmother. She attended Miller High School in Macon and went straight into cosmetology as a hairdresser for over 30 years.
She was proceeded in death by her husband of 60 years, James “Ronnie” Cone Sr., a great grandson, Garrett Thomas Cone, as well as her parents. She is also proceeded in death by her siblings, Margie Frost, Freda Wilson, Glen Hobby, Duke Hobby, Betty Sue Sedwick, and Margaret Ballard.
She is survived by her children, Jake Cone (Dawn), of Bolingbroke, GA, Rhonda Cone Martin (Rick) of Midlothian, VA, Tracie Gunnell of Macon, GA, and her sister, Elaine Arias of Cumming, GA.
Grandchildren, Ashley Cone (Levi), Wes Cone (Kasey), Ronny Kay Cone McLendon (Hunter), Kristen Martin, Michael Martin (Ivey), Jill Martin (Gabe), Taylor Harris (Kaitlin), and Mitchell Harris.
Great Grandchildren, Trystin Brummett, Cali Crook, Collins Cone, Campbell Cone, Judd McLendon, Dillinger Harris, James Mae Harris, Dixon Harris, and Kaisen Harris.
Lastly, her two cats, Patricia and Gracie.
