Gussie Ivester Griffin

Gussie Ivester Griffin passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Riverside Cemetery.  Dr. Mark Ledbetter will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2018, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Griffin, the daughter of the late Brice and Ida Mae Peck Ivester was born March 14, 1925, in Yatesville, Georgia. Her husband, Herschel Eugene Griffin and her daughter, Charisse Griffin Manning preceded her in death.  She retired from the Bibb County Board of Education as lunch room manager for Jessie Rice Elementary School. Mrs. Griffin was a member of Park Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Ritchie Griffin of Macon; and grandson, Coby Manning of Seattle, Washington.Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
