George Daniel Marsh

On Saturday, August 21, 2021, George Daniel Marsh passed away at the age of 93.  George was born to Violet Lundy Marsh and George H. Marsh in Macon, Georgia.

George was educated in Bibb County and attended Mercer University.  He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.  He was also a home building contractor and built many houses in Bibb and surrounding counties.  Also, he owned a door business and was known as THE DOOR MAN.

George has a great ability to make people laugh.  He loved his deceased dogs Happy and Biggette.  He loved playing with neighbor kids with an invisible dog leash.

George is survived by his wife, Claudette Marsh and his children: Guerry (Wendy), Ray (Kay), Latrelle (David) Couch, Freida (RIP-Charles) Balkcom; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on August 26^th at 6:00 pm at Wheeler Heights Baptist Church on Riggins Mill Road.

Donations may be made in George’s name to local animal shelters.
