Faye Selman

Faye Selman, 91, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 12 :00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Forsyth Methodist Church, with the Revered Richard Jelley officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary. 

Born in Pollard, Alabama on December 1, 1934, Faye was the daughter of the late Randolph Wilshire Jernigan and Betty Irene Taylor Jernigan and the widow of Cecil Jackson Selman. She was a faithful member of Forsyth Methodist Church and served for many years as the office manager of her family's business, Forsyth Hardwood.

She had a love for traveling and fishing and found great joy in spending time with her family and friends. Faye will be remembered for her warm heart, unwavering faith, and the many lives she touched throughout the years.

Faye will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Thomas Selman (Sue) of Forsyth, Mike Selman (Beth) of Macon, and John Selman (Tammy) of Forsyth; grandchildren: Jennifer Schacht (Marcus), Hannah Smith (Eric), Michael Selman (Heather), Heidi Wilson (DJ), Whitney Selman, Zach Selman (Samantha), Callaway Selman, and Kaleb Joseph (Mary); twelve great grandchildren; and sister, Joy Bray of Fayetteville, Georgia.

In addition to her husband and parents, Faye was preceded in death by her brothers, Don Jernigan and Bill Jernigan.
