Fay Knight Walker

Fay Jean Knight Walker passed away Friday, June 2, 2017, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31204. Chaplain Rod Callahan will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the Mausoleum Chapel.Mrs. Walker, the daughter of the late John Henry Knight and Evelyn Waites Knight was born May 6, 1935, in Macon, Georgia. Her former husband, Harold Roberson, her husband, Carey Walker and her sister, Beverly Ellerby preceded her in death.  She was a graduate of A. L. Miller High School and she also graduated from Business College.  Mrs. Walker was executive secretary for the Bibb County Tax Commissioner and later was executive secretary for the Personnel Director for The Bibb Company.  She was a member of DOM sorority and a member of Vineville Baptist Church.  Mrs. Walker was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, a gourmet cook and a true southern Lady that kept her wit and charm to the end.Survivors include her daughter, Amyjon (Tom) Rogers of Macon; and grandson, Micah Rogers of Macon.Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of local arrangements.
