Dorothy Elaine Williams (Yearty)

Elaine, who loved to be called “Mama, Grandma, & Memaw” by her children and grandchildren, departed on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in her home surrounded by family.  

Elaine was born in Moultrie, GA on June 20, 1934 to Homer G. Yearty and Eunice Delilah Dampier Yearty.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bobby A. Yearty, infant son Robert Homer Williams, and beloved grandson Jason D. Lineberger.

As office manager of Lawyer’s Title Insurance Corporation, Elaine was known for her extensive knowledge of land titles and law pertaining to such matters. Her hobbies included shopping, reading the Bible, and baking.

She was most proud her years as a secretary to several attorneys in Macon,GA and as an office manager, and especially all her eight children and many grandchildren. She was a strong woman of faith who loved the Lord with all her heart.

She is survived by her children Deborah Elaine Williams, Teresa Ann Lineberger, Connie Marilyn Williams-Smith, Kenneth Craig Williams (Melissa), Charles Keith Williams (Tonya), Sheldon Kerr Williams, and Michele Williams Zdanowicz (Eric) and Pam Roy (Gene). She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren along with her brothers H. Fain Yearty (Evelyn) and Johnny M. Yearty (Glenda).

Services will be held at Monroe County Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Private graveside service will follow in Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Lizella, GA.
