Dewey Wayne Pope

Dewey Wayne Pope, 78, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at his residence.

Dewey was born on June 22, 1948, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Hettie Nobles and James Wesley Pope. He was a long-time home builder in Middle Georgia. Dewey was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and card player. He was very social and loved by many friends. Dewey loved his family and his dogs. He will be greatly missed.

Dewey is survived by his daughters, Tiffini Lee Pope Cole (Danny) of Senoia, Georgia, and Bonnie Alicia Pope (Ashley Andrews) of Forsyth, Georgia; his grandchildren, Alyson Chambers (Matthew), Katie Mullen (Samantha), and Hannah Purvis; his eight great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Rusty Dodd; and his best friend, Don Moore. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce Pope; his son, Wesley Michael Pope; and his two brothers, Harold Pope and Elbert Pope.
