Dena Mae McCary

Dena Mae Lunsford McCary passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mark Goolsby will officiate. 

Mrs. McCary, the daughter of the late William Watts and Georgia Scott Watts was born July 22, 1933, in Thomaston, Georgia.  Her husband, Willie McCary and her children, Bob Stuart, Keith Stuart and Brenda Stansell preceded her in death.  She was retired from the textile industry.

Survivors include her son, David Lunsford (Gay) of Forsyth; sister, Shirley Bloodworth of Ft. Valley; brothers, Ira Watts of Forsyth; Hank Watts (Cherry) of Gay and Ronnie Watts of Forsyth; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
