Dana Cavender Thompson, 57, of Culloden, Georgia passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the Culloden Primitive Baptist Church, Culloden, Georgia with Pastor Craig Waldon officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Culloden City Cemetery.

Dana was born in Macon, Georgia on June 5, 1968 to the late Samuel Eugene Cavender and Carrie Janice Cochran. She attended Southwest High School, where she graduated in 1986. She grew up attending Parkway Baptist Church, where lifelong friendships were established. She attended Macon State College where she pursued a career as a paralegal. After taking time devoted to raising her family, Dana returned to work and spent several years as a member of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in the role of Crime Information Coordinator (TAC Officer). In life, Dana enjoyed being among nature and her garden. She also had a keen eye for beautiful artwork, especially from the Amish communities of our nation.

Dana will be fondly remembered for her love of Christ, her husband, children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents Dana was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest and Amy Cavender, David and Myrtice Green and Aunt Cathy Bailey. Dana is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Thompson of Culloden; daughter, Jordan McEachern (Michael) of Forsyth; sons, Hayden Eastis (McKenna) of Lilburn, Georgia, Jacob Thompson (Madeline Smith) of Statesboro, Georgia, Noah Thompson of Culloden, Aaron Thompson (Hailey Sandow) of Culloden, and beloved second father, Mike Cochran of Macon; granddaughters, the loves of her life, Ryleigh and Campbell McEachern; sister, Stephanie Frank (Doug) of Macon, brother, Chad Cavender of Macon; sisters-in-law, Susan Whitmer (Bob) and Cathy Pope; nieces Ashley Frank, Megan Frank, Catherine Pope; and nephews David, Jr., Clayton, and Sam Pope.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel 86 West Main Street, Forsyth, Georgia, has charge of the arrangements.
