Cecil Irving Smith

Cecil Irving Smith passed away Monday, August 21, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.  Mr. Smith, the son of the late Kennie Cecil Smith and Nellie Jackson Smith was born July 28, 1942, in Macon, Georgia. His wife, Neida Darline Moore Smith preceded him in death.  He was employed as a retired welder and was a veteran of the United States Navy.  Survivors include his children, Shane Smith of Macon, Keith Smith of Milan and Dana Aicher (Stephen) of Hebron, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Chelsea Lazenby, C J Smith, Jace Smith, Kasey Smith and Ethan Aicher; two great grandchildren, Rylea Lazenby and Ryder Lazenby.  The family requests no flowers but suggests donations to donor’s favorite charity.    Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
