Bitsy Stanford

Sandra Ann “Bitsy” Stephens Stanford of Forsyth, Georgia passed away Friday, June 24, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Brain Moore officiating. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.

Bitsy was born in Royston, Georgia at Ty Cobb Memorial Hospital on February 25, 1963 to the late Richard Lamar Stephens and Lucy Joann Holcomb Adams. She was actively involved with The Georgia Transplant Foundation. She was an avid fan of country music, especially Alan Jackson and she loved traveling the country with her husband. She loved spending time with and taking care of her great niece Jolie.

She was preceded in death by her two older brothers, Richard Lamar Stephens Jr. and Henry Claude Stephens. Survivors include her husband of 32 years Lamar Ray Stanford of Forsyth, her brother Jeffrey Stephens (Beth) of Forsyth, her sister Melissa Reynolds (RJ) of Gray, her nieces Jodi Jones (Joey), Erin Crouch (John), Nikki Stephens, Laurie McElmurray (Kaleb), her nephews Paul Hartmann (Lindsey), Mike Stephens (Wendy), Joseph Stephens (Brittney), Joshua Stephens (Amber), David Stanford (Kaitlynn), Billy Stephens (Jess), Ricky Stephens and 11 great nieces and nephews.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangement.
