Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Forsyth, with the Reverend Glenn Gregg officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens, U.S. Highway 41, Forsyth.

Betty was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a treasured friend. She was a woman of remarkable strength, endless energy, and a heart that always had room for others. She had a beautiful smile, a wonderful sense of humor, and a love for laughter that brought joy to those around her.

Betty had a special gift for making everything around her beautiful. She loved flowers, working in her yard, decorating her home, and creating warm, welcoming spaces for the people she loved. She took great pride in her house, but it was the love she poured into it that truly made it a home. Never one to sit idle, Betty was always busy planting, arranging, cleaning, decorating, or finding another project to tackle.

After serving as secretary at First Baptist Church in Forsyth, Betty decided to follow her passion for flowers and became a florist. Her creativity and natural eye for beauty made this a perfect fit, allowing her to share something she loved with others.

Betty was also a natural athlete with a competitive spirit. She played basketball in high school and especially loved softball. Some of her happiest memories were spent on the ballfield, including coaching kids. She loved being involved in her children’s activities and was always one of their biggest supporters.

Friendship was another of Betty’s greatest joys. She treasured the special people in her life, particularly her dear friends Marilyn and Jack Barker. Together, they shared years of laughter, adventures, and unforgettable memories while raising their children together. Those friendships were filled with the kind of love, loyalty, and jokes that lasts a lifetime.

At the center of Betty’s world was her family. Being a wife and mother was not simply a role she filled; it was the very heart of who she was. She loved her children fiercely and stood beside them through every joy, challenge, and heartbreak.

Her strength as a mother was tested in ways no parent should never have to endure. She faced the fear, uncertainty, and emotional toll of caring for a child battling cancer, a journey that required extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and unwavering love. Through difficult days, countless worries, and the helplessness that comes with watching a child suffer, Betty remained a source of comfort, determination, and strength. She carried burdens that others could not always see, while continuing to give her family everything she had.

She also endured the unimaginable heartbreak of losing her beloved daughter, Kandi. That loss became a part of her story, but it never diminished her capacity to love, give, or care for others. Instead, her experiences gave her a special compassion for families facing childhood cancer. She served on the Board of Directors of Make a Wish Foundation of Central Georgia, helping support a cause that was deeply personal to her. Her willingness to turn her family’s pain into compassion and service to others was one of the many ways she demonstrated the depth of her character.

Betty shared a special bond with her beloved husband, Royce. He was her rock, her security, and her partner through life’s many seasons. Their love for Auburn University became a lasting part of their family’s traditions, and Betty was a proud Auburn Tigers fan. Whether celebrating a victory or cheering through a difficult season, her Auburn spirit never wavered.

As her family grew, so did Betty’s joy. She was proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. The family she and Royce built together was among her greatest accomplishments and her most treasured blessings.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Winters (Joe Martin), and her son, Kregg Toole (Ronda); her four grandchildren, Lauren Willis (Justin), Herschell “Trippe” Winters III (Carol Anne), Peyton Winters (Lucas Earl), and Bailey Estrada (Adrian); and her seven great-grandchildren, Paxton Willis, Collins Willis, Mason Willis, CeCe Winters, Wayne Winters, Olivia Estrada, and Braden Estrada. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Clark (Sherell) and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Royce Toole, and her cherished daughter, Kandi Toole. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Doris Wood, and her brothers, Charlie Clark, Jr., Felton Clark, William Clark, Joe Clark, and Tony Clark.

Her life was not without heartbreak, but she faced it with a mother’s courage and a heart that never stopped loving. She leaves behind more than beautiful flowers and treasured memories. She leaves behind generations of family who will carry her love, her strength, and her spirit forward. The flowers she planted will bloom again and the love she gave will live on for generations. She made the world more beautiful simply by being in it.
