Betty Jane Melvin Wilson

Betty Jane Melvin Wilson loving mother passed away peaceful Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Emory St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Juliette United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Mark Goolsby will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the residence 42 Sydney Court, Forsyth, GA 31029.

Betty Jane was born August 19, 1949 in Forsyth, Georgia to the late Theo Lee Melvin and Ella Jane Hammond Melvin.  Her husband, Allen Wilson and her brothers, Mike Melvin and Tommy Melvin preceded her in death.  She previously worked for Bibb Company as an inspector and Betty Jane also attended New Beginning Pentecostal Church.

Betty Jane is survived by her daughters, Tabitha Duffey of Forsyth and Heather Duffey Weaver (Justin) of Thompsons Station, TN; grandchildren, Andie Weaver, Waylon Weaver and Sara Claire Weaver; companion Wayne McCranie of Forsyth; brother, Jimmy Melvin (Pheabe) of Juliette; niece, Kim Pitts (Tim); and nephew, Taton Pitts.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
