Betty Jo Blackerby

Betty Jo Blackerby passed away Monday, September 18, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Burial will be private.  The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.  Mrs. Blackerby, the daughter of the late Herbert Cheek and Myrtle Rea Beasley Cheek was born April 23, 1940, in Juliette, Georgia. She was retired from the textile industry.  Survivors include her children, Perry Lee Phillips (Teresa) of Milner, Tommy Joe Phillips (Leslie) of Forsyth and Larry Kim Phillips (Marti) of Monroe, Georgia; sisters, Frankie Agnew of Forsyth and Beatrice Fielder of Moultrie, Georgia; eight grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.       .
