Bernice McGaha

Lindol Bernice McGaha of Forsyth, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Pastor Vaughn Drawdy will officiate.

Mrs. McGaha was born January 4, 1934 in Eastman, Georgia to the late Willie Taft Garrett and Mary Etta McCook Garrett.  Her husband Willie James “Bud” McGaha preceded her in death.  She retired from Carter’s and was a member of Northside Congregational Holiness Church. She enjoyed serving her church in women’s ministry and Sunday school.

Survivors include her daughter, Vanetta (Jared) Moss of Zebulon, grandchildren, Noah Jackson Moss and Sophie Belle Moss, brother, Ronald Garrett of Carrolton, and sister, Etta Mae Ammons of Gray.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 225 Rocky Creek Road, Forsyth, GA 31029.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
