Bernice M. "Snookie" Richards

Mrs. Bernice M. “Snookie” Richards, 99, of Jackson, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023.  Graveside funeral services will be at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens, Monday, December 4, 2023 at 2:00PM, with the Reverend David Osteen officiating. The family will greet friends at Monroe County Memorial Chapel Monday, December 4, 2023 from 1:00PM to 1:45PM.  

Mrs. Richards made her career as a nursing assistant at Clayton County General Hospital.  She loved the outdoors and diligently worked in her yard and mowing the lawn.  An active and athletic person, Mrs. Richards enjoyed exercising, swimming, and boating on High Falls Lake.  She was a long-time and faithful member of Paran Baptist Church.   

Mrs. Richards is preceded in death by her former husbands, Lynus Eugene Knight, Jack Adams, Charles Roberts, and Ancil Richards; her six sisters; daughter, Deedrie “Dee Dee” Davis; and great-grandchild, Austin Brewer.  She is survived by her son, Dennis E. Knight, of Griffin; daughter, Sheila Diane Jackson (Ronald L.), of Griffin; son George R. Knight (Pam), of Forsyth; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
