Barbara DuBose Long

Barbara DuBose Long, age 88, of Forsyth passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Barnesville with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Garth Forster and John Milam will officiate.  Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Holly Hill Memorial Park in Fairburn, Georgia.

Mrs. Long, the daughter of the late Thomas Carlton DuBose and Sara Elizabeth King DuBose was born May 1, 1933 in Atlanta, Georgia.  Her daughter, Lynis McGrotha and her grandson, Matthew Barron preceded her in death.  She was a homemaker. 

Mrs. Long is survived by her husband, Lawrence Long of Forsyth; children, Laura Hall of Hapeville and Chris Long (Sandy) of Barnesville; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Little Children of the World, Post Office Box 37, Barnesville, Ga 30204.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
